• Willie Hunter, the Partner in charge, came to see our house initially and was an extremely welcome change from the other people we'd seen that day.  He treated us as intelligent adults and had clearly researched our house before he visited.  We always knew our house was difficult to value because of what it was where it was, and he was the only person prepared to have a sensible conversation about value, rather than applying the (somewhat pointless for some properties) £price purchased +/- x% formula that we kept hearing from others.  Obviously, Willie is an extremely experienced lawyer, and his experience and practical approach was evident from day one.
• Our Negotiator Debra was prepared to visit our house out of hours.  This was entirely different from other agents we talked to.  This really helped us to get our house on the market at a very busy time. 
• Debra was always accessible - if she didn't answer the phone immediately, she'd always phone back quickly.  No phones ringing out to voicemail or emails going unanswered.
• Debra was pro-active.  At first, we often asked whether x or y had been done, but soon stopped bothering when we realised Debra would have done it before we had even thought about it!  Viewings were followed up quickly and effectively and, during quiet periods, Debra would always remember to send a quick email to let us know what was, or wasn't, happening.
• Most refreshing of all was the fact that when we asked Debra or Willie for advice or an opinion, we got it. This was immensely useful.  So often when asking for advice you're met with fence-sitting.  This was not the case with Hunters - if we asked for frank advice you were always happy to provide it.  That is not to say that anyone at Hunters was ever curt or harsh.  On the contrary, everyone was always extremely polite and diplomatic, but advice was never sugar coated and always practical, giving us the information we needed to make a decision at any given time:  this is a real strength of your service in our opinion. 
• There were very few problems at all the whole way through the process (which was obviously longer than we'd hoped).  The measure of any professional service is how a problem is dealt with when it occurs, and we were extremely happy with how issues were dealt with.  When our first offer fell through, Willie made himself available to try to deal with the situation immediately.  When there was a problem with one of the viewing agents setting the alarm off, this was investigated immediately to prevent it happening again. 

We simply can't believe how fantastic everyone at both Hunters and Gillespie MacAndrew were in helping us through the sale of our property in Greenbank. To achieve a sale price so far in excess of the asking price in such a short time certainly exceeded our wildest expectations and we'll definitely be recommending you guys to anyone looking for help selling their house in the future.
